1. What Seller OS Is
Seller OS ("we", "our", or "us") is software that helps eBay sellers manage product sourcing, profit estimation, listing creation, stock alerts, dispatch sync, and buyer notifications from one place.
Seller OS is an independent, third-party tool. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay Inc. "eBay" is used in these Terms and throughout the site solely to describe what Seller OS integrates with.
Seller OS is currently operated by Otasowie Joy Francis, trading as Seller OS, pending formal company registration.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a legally binding contract to use Seller OS. By using Seller OS, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You're responsible for your own eBay account and for complying with eBay's own policies and terms of service. Seller OS does not review or approve your listings, and using Seller OS does not exempt you from eBay's rules, including its VeRO (Verified Rights Owner) programme and restricted-item policies.
3. The Waitlist and Private Beta
Joining the Seller OS waitlist registers your interest in early access. It does not create a Seller OS account, and does not guarantee you a place in the private beta or any particular beta start date.
The private beta gives selected users temporary, unrestricted access to Seller OS in exchange for feedback on their real selling workflow. Beta software is provided as-is: features may change or be removed without notice, bugs and temporary outages should be expected, and beta access may be withdrawn at any time.
If you send us feedback, bug reports, or suggestions during the beta or otherwise, you grant us the right to use that feedback to improve Seller OS without any obligation to you, and without you retaining any rights over how it's used.
Beta pricing offered to private beta testers, and how it carries forward once you choose a paid plan, is described on our pricing page.
4. Accounts and Subscriptions
Once Seller OS opens beyond the private beta, using it requires an account. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
New public accounts start with a 7-day free trial covering up to 10 products. Continuing to use Seller OS beyond the trial, or beyond the trial's product limit, requires choosing a paid plan. Current plans and pricing are shown on our pricing page; pricing is subject to change, though we honour beta-era price locks as described there.
Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, as selected) until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing.
Pending solicitor review
The exact mechanics of billing, proration on plan changes, refund eligibility, and how a cancellation interacts with the current billing period all need to be confirmed against UK consumer protection law before this section is final; the same is true of whether Seller OS subscribers are treated as consumers or businesses for cancellation-right purposes, which affects what statutory rights apply (for example under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). We haven't committed to a specific refund policy here, and shouldn't until that's resolved.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Seller OS for any unlawful purpose, or to list unlawful items
- Violate eBay's policies through listings created via Seller OS
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or gain unauthorised access to Seller OS or its underlying systems
- Use Seller OS to send unsolicited communications or interfere with other users
- Resell or provide access to Seller OS to a third party without our agreement
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms.
6. Your Data
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, including at waitlist signup and once you have an account, why we collect it, and your rights over it. It forms part of these Terms.
You retain ownership of your own business data (your listings, inventory, pricing, supplier information, and orders). We use it only to provide Seller OS to you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual Property
Seller OS, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Seller OS for your own business while your account is active. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Seller OS to you.
8. Disclaimers and Liability
Seller OS is provided to help you run your eBay business more easily, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any profit, stock, or compliance calculation will always be accurate. You're responsible for checking figures that matter before relying on them, and for your own compliance with eBay's and any applicable law's requirements.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Pending solicitor review
Beyond that statutory floor, we haven't set a specific liability cap or list of excluded damages (e.g. loss of profit, indirect losses) here, since getting that wording wrong carries real risk in either direction -- too weak leaves the business exposed, too strong may be unenforceable against consumers. This needs solicitor drafting before it's relied on.
9. Termination
You may stop using Seller OS and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, or if required by law.
On termination, your right to use Seller OS ends. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property and liability) continue to apply.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
Pending solicitor review
We intend Seller OS to be governed by the law of England and Wales, but haven't fixed a formal governing-law and jurisdiction clause, or a dispute-resolution process, here yet. This is tied to finalising the business's legal entity (see "What Seller OS Is" above -- company registration is still pending), and should be set with a solicitor once that's resolved, rather than guessed at now.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
The latest version will always appear on this page.
